We are in Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park, an RV camp in Horn Lake, Mississippi, some five miles south of Memphis, Tennessee where we picked up the motor home.
Yesterday afternoon, the sales lady from whom we bought the motor home, drove our coach here giving us a driving lesson as we went. Mike then drove it back with her guiding him where necessary. I have to say that he did an outstanding job - no crashes, no scrapes and only a couple of quicker than usual stops as he got used to the air brakes. That said, I didn't look behind us where pandemonium could have broken out with drivers fleeing the roads for cover!
Then Mike drove back here by himself with me driving the jeep behind. We have had a "hitch" attached to the jeep to enable us to tow it behind the coach, but we thought it better to let Mike get used to driving the motor home by itself before adding-in a towed vehicle.
Right now the plan is that we will stay here overnight and head off to Red Bay, Alabama tomorrow where the coach was actually built. There we can ask all our questions and get anything fixed that's not quite right. And, possibly get some driving lessons.............well, for me anyway!
